The Department of Sustainable Tourism carries out educational activities on four campuses (Budai Campus, Budapest; Károly Róbert Campus, Gyöngyös; Georgikon Campus, Keszthely; and Szent István Campus, Gödöllő), which include the higher-level vocational training course in Tourism and Hospitality, the Tourism - Hospitality Undergraduate and the Tourism - Management Postgraduate degree courses.
In addition to teaching in Hungarian, teaching foreign students in English is also part of the department's responsibilities.
The teaching staff is highly qualified. With the exception of two people - who are pursuing their PhD studies at the moment - all colleagues have a PhD degree and very high levels of foreign language skills.
Our teaching staff is also enriched by two colleagues who are full university professors.
Our educational aim is the training of highly qualified tourism professionals who, based on their professional knowledge, perform their work in an innovative and creative way, promoting the sustainable development of the tourism sector and spreading the popularity of tourism in Hungary all over the world. In their networking system, members of the department strive to co-operate closely with the participants of both national and international economic and scientific sectors. Their achievements are echoed in the quality of education they offer, developing authentic student knowledge and varied skill sets.
