Our core activity is education. The Department offers two undergraduate, four masters and two postgraduate degree courses, and a number of specialised further education courses. Teaching is carried out on four campuses: the Buda Campus, the Kaposvár Campus, the Károly Róbert Campus and the Szent István Campus. We also offer excellent teaching for other departments. The number of doctoral students associated with the Department's teaching staff is particularly high, with a significant proportion of foreign students. The lecturers of the Department play a major role in the training of foreign students, including PhD students. In the past three years, they have supported students in the preparation of hundreds of theses and dissertations, and about two dozen TDK and OTDK theses.

We attach great importance to the education of our students, and we support our PhD students in every way possible. One of our PhD students has also been awarded a place in the Cooperative Doctoral Programme. The Department's staff also has a strong publication record, which is reflected in the high number of citations. Several of our colleagues are active participants in research and proposals related to the agricultural sector.

Our cooperating partners include, among others, business consulting companies, agricultural and food enterprises developing business management systems, OTP, Somogyi kosár, Food Clusters, software development companies, Precognox Ltd., Marázplast Ltd., Sapientia University (EMTE), the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV), the National Health Insurance Foundation (NEAK), Hungarian Government Offices, the Agricultural Chamber, the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH), the National Bank of Hungary (MNB), Pénziránytű Foundation, several secondary and higher education institutions, Soroksár Experimental Plant and Farm.
